Levy Do, DDS

I was born in Vietnam but grew up right here in Broken Arrow. I am a graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry where I obtained my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Previous to that, I had completed earned a Bachelor's degree in Zoology with a minor in Business Management also at the University of Oklahoma. Throughout my time at the Health and Sciences center, I have had the pleasure of serving in many leadership roles; being president of Asian-American Professional, serving the local community through partnership with Habitat for Humanity and mission trips overseas. The HSC is the kind of campus that fosters and encourages leadership, citizenship, and diversity. Of the leadership experiences and volunteering opportunities that I have had, the most impacting and eye-opening experience has been a recent mission trip to my native country of Vietnam. During the summer vacation of my second year of Dental school, I had a astonishing opportunity to travel to Vietnam. Those that I treated were in desperate need of dental care. The opportunity to help my people in such a way, I was thankful to God. During the mission trip our volunteer group did countless extractions during our clinics. There was a large amount of free service for people who otherwise would never even get a chance to see a dentist. The work was hard and sometimes our backs were hurting as we perspired heavily in the sub-tropical heat, but our team spirit in helping the needy kept us going strong.

I am now an active member of my church, the Oklahoma Dental Association, American Dental Association, and local organizations, seeking to serve our community locally and globally through volunteering projects and mission trips. Indeed, there are many others who share my passion and in networking with these heroes in the community, we seek to difference for our patients, our family, and our neighbors which is our community. I'm blessed to be fluent in both English and Vietnamese, as well as limited Spanish from my mission trips. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing music, volleyball, and of course being outdoors fishing or camping.
